Biography

Mary Amelia Reed was born on October 23rd, 1870 in Utah Territory to Caroline Amelia (Webb) Reed (1849-1922) and DeWitt Clinton Reed (1847-1911)

In the 1880 census May (age 9), At School, was the daughter of Dewitt C. Reed in Fillmore, Millard, Utah Territory, United States.^[1]

She married Frank Richard Webb when she was 23 and he was 24 on 13 April 1894 in Deseret, Millard, Utah Territory, United States.^[2]

In the 1900 census May (age 30) was the widowed head of household in United States.^[3] Frank's Death Certificate has not yet been located but family history indicates he may be buried in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery, Spanish Fork, Utah.

May (age 32) married Timothy J. Harrington (age 38) on 24 June 1903 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States.^[4]

In the 1910 census Mary (age 39) was the wife of Timothy Harrington in Caliente, Lincoln, Nevada, United States.^[5] Her children with Frank Webb are enumerated with surname of Harrington but there is no evidence that a formal adoption occurred. There is also a ward with the family, Helen Carson, which may be Mary's niece from her sister Stella Reed and Leonard Lazelle Carson.

In the 1920 census May (age 49) was the wife of Tim J Harrington in Salt Lake, Utah, United States.^[6] Her son Dewitt Webb is also living with the couple.

In the 1930 census May (age 58) was the wife of Timothy Harrington in Los Angeles (Districts 0501-0750), Los Angeles, California, United States.^[7]

Mary, daughter of Dewitt Reed & Caroline Webb, died (age 62) on 14 July 1933 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States.^[8]

She is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, Los Angeles County, California, USA. Her husband is buried there as well.
