Biography

Justice Reed immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

Justice Read, son of William and Mabel (unk) Read was born about 1634. At the age of 18 months he sailed to New England with his parents on the ship Defence from London in July 1635. [1] [2]

No other records are found. [2]

He probably died sometime before his father made his will on April 9, 1656, since he is not mentioned among the oldest children. (see research notes)[2]

Research Notes

Educated Deduction: Since there are no further records in New England; since the will of his father William Read mentions *three* older married children in New England "George Ralph & Abigail" and *four* younger "Israel, Sarah, Rebecca, and unknown given name;" and since Justice was older than Abigail: Educated Deduction is that Justice died before his father's will dated April 9, 1656.[2]

Thank you, Laurie. We could add that to the biography, but only if you can state a reliable, PGM approved source.
