Note: He was in the census records in 1830 & 1840 in Crawford Co., AR, 1850 in Scott Co., AR, and 1860 in Lamar Co., TX .
He registered a tract of land in Washington Co., AR in 1838. At that time, he had a wife and six children. This land was located near the southern border between Washington and Crawford Counties. Jacob Chandler witnessed his filing.
In 1829 the Sheriff's census of Washington Co. listed J. M. Reeder Jr.and M. Reeder, Sr. This may have been Jacob and Micajah.
In 1830 he is listed with 3 sons and 2 daughters. 1 daughter between 10 and 15 would have been Pernicia, the other daughter Darinda. The sons were Warren, Ambrose and William. The 1840 census indicates 3 sons who do not appear on the 1850 census.
