William Rees was born on July 27, 1866 in Maesteg, Glamorgan, Wales, United Kingdom. His parents were Joseph Rees and Elizabeth Matthews. He married Janet Carney on January 18, 1893. Together they had 1 child:

He died on February 03, 1949 in Melcher, Marion, Iowa, United States. [1]
