Biography

Helen Gertrude Rees was born in Cheshire, England in 1869. ^[1]She was the daughter of Thomas Bowen Rees and Ida Josphine Langdon.

Helen married Henry Arnold Cumberbatch in Izmir, Turkey in 1891 and it appears she was also known as Hélène from this time. She had 2 children, Sybil, born in Ankara, Turkey ^[2] and Henry Carlton Cumberbatch ^[3].

Helen died in Middlesex, England in 1928. ^{[4] [5]}
