Nancy (Reeves) Green was a North Carolina colonist.

Nancy Elizabeth Reeves was born 1771 in Old Tryon, North Carolina. She married Henry Green in 1789 in Old Tryon, North Carolina.[1] They had the following children:

  2. Joseph Green,
  3. Elias (John) Green,
  4. Lewis Green,
  5. Green Lee Green,
  6. James M. Green,
  7. Mary Green,
  8. Elias Green,
  9. Berryman Green,
  10. Benjamin Green,
  11. Willis Green[2]

According to an article written for theBoiling Springs Historical Awareness Committee by Virginia Green DePriest, Henry Green built the oldest home now standing in Boiling Springs, Cleveland (formerly Rutherford) County, NC in about 1797. The log home is currently owned by Forrest Hamrick and is on the east side of North Main Street[3][4][5]

In the 1860 Rutherford County, North Carolina Census, Nancy is listed as Age 87 years, born NC, widowed, white, female; living alone.[6]

Nancy died between 1860 and 1870 in Rutherford County, North Carolina.[7] This is the same area that had been previously known as Old Tryon. Nancy is buried at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, present day Cleveland County, North Carolina.[8]
