John Reeves has English ancestors.
2nd Lt John Reeves served in the United States Civil War. Enlisted: Nov 29, 1864 Mustered out: Jan 29, 1865 Side: USA Regiment(s): 3rd Minnesota Volunteer Infantry Regiment
John was born in 1838. He is the son of Michael Reeves and Martha Harrington. He was a 2nd lieutenant in Company C, 3rd Minnesota Infantry in the US Civil War.[1][2] He died at DeValls Bluff, Prairie County, Arkansas, on January 29, 1865, and was buried there the same day. His remains were later transferred to Little Rock National Cemetery.[3][4]
