Biography

Joe Reeves 1834-1893. Joe Reeves is the son of Alfred Reeves 1796-1877 and Sarah Thompson 1802-1850. Wife, Margaret Simmons is said to be buried near her father; Husband Joe Reeves, five miles NE of McComb in the Reeves Cemetery.

They had six children:

  1. George W. Reeves, 1853-1936
  2. James J. Reeves, 1855-
  3. Nannie Reeves Smith
  4. Sarah Elizabeth (Lizzie) Reeves Hurst, 1858-1912
  5. Lula (Lou) Reeves Crossley, moved to Indiana
  6. Maggie Reeves Bardwell, 1865-1908
