Lemuel was born in 1818. He was the son of Lewis Reeves and Hannah Miller. He passed away in 1902.

Lemuel and his wife Julia took in his sister Hannah's daughter Harriet (Hattie) Elizabeth (Lizzie) Heavenridge, who married Ezra Woodring in 1883. Hattie was listed in their household on the US census in 1870 and 1880.

Lemuel and Julia had 4 sons and 1 daughter.
