Lela was born in 1893. Lela Reeves was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Reeves (1860 - 1936) and Angie S. Seeley Reeves (1864 - 1924). She passed away in 1977, and was buried at Broken Bow Cemetery, Broken Bow, Custer County, Nebraska.[1]

Funeral services were held for Lela Glendy on Sunday, September 11, 1977 at the Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, Nebraska.
Lela Reeves Glendy was born October 23, 1893 to Andrew Jackson and Angeline Seeley Reeves at Tuckerville, near Oconto, Nebraska. She was united in marriage to Robert Edgar Glendy, Nov. 1, 1911. To the union were born five children. Ed and Lela were engaged in farming near Oconto until 1945, when they moved to Grand Island for a short time, then settled on a farm east of Broken Bow. Due to Ed's failing health, they moved to Broken Bow where he passed away in 1953.
January 2, 1957, Lela was united in marriage to Leonard O. Glendy. They lived on the ranch along the South Loup River until 1970, when they went to Oconto to make their home. After twenty happy years with Leonard, she became ill and passed away at the Callaway Hospital September 8, 1977 at the age of 83 years, 10 months and 16 day.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church and U.M.W.
Preceding her in death besides her first husband were her parents, an older brother, Merrill, twin brother, Lee, four grandchildren and a son-in-law, Harvey Kriz. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Leonard O. Glendy, her children Clarence, Broken Bow; Helen Baller of Broken Bow; Hazel Kriz of Mead, NE.; Marjorie Oxford of Eddyville and Kyle Glendy of Ceresco, Nebraska. Two step sons, William and Eldon and one step daughter, Carol Wackerla, all of Oconto, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, three son-in law, three daughters- in law and many other relatives and friends.
Officiating at the funeral services was Rev. George Kilmer with music being provided by Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Nelson. Pallbearers were Paul Oxford, Leslie Baller, Clayton Glendy, Gary Glendy, Robert Glendy and Roger Wackerla. Govier Brothers Mortuary of Broken Bow was in charge of arrangements.
