Sarah passed away on November 4th, 1875 in Kilcoan, Islandmagee (age 52). She was recorded as married and wife of a farmer. The official cause was Bilious Affliction (2 weeks). It was registered by William Hill, (also of Kilcoan, her husband) on 9 November 1875.[1] She is interred in the Hill Family Plot in Ballypriormore Cemetery, Islandmagee. [2]

Erected by William B. Hill in memory of his wife Sarah Jane Hill who departed this life 4th November 1875 aged 52 years. Also his son John who died at Havanna 9th June 1862 aged 18 years. And three of his children, James, Isabella & Esther who died young. And his daughter Annie Ellen who died 30th July 1885 aged 19 years. Also the above-named William B. Hill who died 20th July 1887 aged 68 years. Also his son Hugh B. Hill who died 18th April 1915 aged 65 years. Allen Alfred Hill, son of above Hugh Boyle Hill, who died 22nd Jan. 1919 aged 14 years. Ever remembered. Ronald Hill, grandson of above H. B. Hill died 21st Oct. 1936 aged 4½ years.
