Rachel Orange Reid was born in Feb. 1852 at Louisiana, USA.[1] She appeared on the census of 16 July 1860 in the household of her parents, Darrel Reid and Sarah Ann (O'Quinn) Reid, at St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. [2] Her mother died in 1869 and she appeared on the census of 22 July 1870 in the household of her father and step-mother Catherine at St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. [3]
She married Adolphus Baham, son of Thomas J. Baham and Caroline (York) Baham, on 22 Oct. 1874 at St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.[4]
She and Adolphus appeared on the census of 8 June 1880 at St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.[5] She and Adolphus appeared on the census of 18 June 1900 at St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.[1] She and Adolphus appeared on the census of 9 May 1910 at St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana.[6] She appeared on the census of 17 Jan. 1920 at St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, her son Charles and her daugheter-in-law Cassana were living with her.[7]
Rachel died on 27 April 1938 at Arabi, St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana,[8] at age 86 and was buried at Reid-Baham Cemetery, Folsom, St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. [9]
