Much sympathy is expressed in town over the death of Mrs. Porteous, wife of Mr. Geo. Porteous, foreman at Bowman's. She leaves five or six little children without a mother's care.
From Cliff Arnold:, tmleafs@sympatico.ca
hello, Bowman's was a lumber company in Dundas in the 1930's. I lived close by in those days. It was purchased by Hugh Snetsinger who operated it for quite a few years. It was sold to Cashway Lumber sometime in the late 60's.
Birthdate is from Landmarks of Toronto
Could this be Maggie (Reid) Porteous, or Margaret Porteous, daughter of William Simpson Porteous?
