Hugh Reed married Nancy Keys. They were both the youngest of their family. They had eleven children. Nine lived to be grown, but only three are now living. Their names were: - Arthur, Elizabeth, John, Jane, James, Benjamin, Mary, Margaret, Thomas, Arthur and Sallie.
Arthur and John died of scarlet fever aged 6 and 2 years.
Elizabeth married N.D. Wilson. They raised a large family. Their names are: - John, Caroline, Sallie, Isaac, Virginia, Margaret, Ella, Laura, James and Hugh. They settled in Mo., soon after the war. Six of the children are living.
Jane married Madison Bishop Feb. 1862. They had six children all living.

James died in Texas 1857 not married.
Benjamin married Mary E. Beaty Mar. 1, 1864. Their children were: -Thomas, Lillian, Will and Mabel. Lillian died 10 months old. Thomas married Laura Livengood and they have three children: - Clarence, Homer, and Leo Casper. Benjamin’s second wife was Josie A. Blunt. (Handwritten “died Aug. 19, 1841”) Their children’s names are: - Lacy, Mary, Pearl, Nannie and Benjamin, jr. Could give the date of their births but that is not important.
Mary married John A. Catron Feb. 1862. He only lived a little over a year. Second husband George W. Alderson. They had six children: - Nannie, Hay, May, Martha, John, and George. Hay died about 14 years of age. Nannie married Will Duval. They had 2 children when they left Va. and 2 after they went to Washington. Nannie died from the effects of an accident 3 or 4 years ago. May married Robert Duval and John married Flora Buchanan. They all live in east central Washington.
