Olive married Joseph B. Dunton, a physician. The couple most likely married in Townsend, Vermont, about 1828 or so.
Olive most likely died about 1831. Joseph married for his second wife Lucy Gleason Burnap on September 19, 1832 in Townshend, Vermont. Joseph and Lucy named their first child Olive Marie Dunlap in honor of his first wife.
The Ward Family genealogy, which was published in 1851, states that Olive died in Harlem, New York. The inscription on Joseph's tombstone reads: Dunton, Dr. J.B. his wives Olive W. Read, Lucy C. Burnap, Mary S. Sherwin.
Joseph later settled in Vineland, New Jersey. Joseph is mentioned in "Early Physicians of Vineland N.J.: "Dr. L. K. Cooley and Dr. J.B. Denton were prominent members of the "Friends of Progress," and had doubtless some medical practice chiefly if not altogether among people of that affiliation."
Joseph and Lucy had three children: Olive, Julia and Abby. After Lucy's death Joseph married again to Mary Sherwin.
Joseph died in 1891 at the age of 83.
