Marriage Notice REID-ORMISTON.-On the 4th October, at St. Dominic's Church, Hammond, by the Rev. Father Clune, James F., eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Reid, Boolcunda East, to Agnes M. (May), third daughter of Mrs. and the late J. Ormiston, Hammond.

Marriage Article REID - ORMISTON. A wedding was solemnised in St. Dominic's Church, Hammond, by the Rev. Father Clune, when James F., eldest son of Mr. and Mrs John Reid, Boolcunda East, was married to Agnes M (May) third daughter of Mrs. Ormiston, Hammond. The church had been tastefully decorated by the bride's friends. The bride, who was given away by her mother, wore a pretty frock of ivory charmante and georgette, prettily beaded and finished with a pearl ornament. Her veil was worn in cap style, with buds of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of white flowers.

The bridesmaid (Miss Sue Reid) wore a dainty frock of pile pink satin and georgette, embroidered and trimmed with silver flowers and hat ensuite. She carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas. The bridegroom was supported, by his brother Mr. M. V. Reid. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Hammond Hotel. The room and tables having been taste-fully decorated for the occasion in heliotrope and white. Father Clune, in a few cheerful words, proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom; which was ably supported by Father Flett. The happy couple left by the East-West express en route for the eastern States, where the honeymoon was spent. The bride travelled in a three-piece costume of grey, with a blue hat.

JIM Reid, who was at Quorn show with brother Jack from Lock, Eyre Peninsula, is chairman of Kanyaka District Council, one of ;he biggest in South Australia. Its territory extends from Quorn to Yanyarie 28 miles, to Port Augusta 25 miles, to Wilson 25 miles, to Wilmington 25 miles, to Kanyaka 12 miles.

The chairman, who lives at Boolcunda, 25 miles from Quorn, said to me, 'Years like this make us stay here; we take the good with the bad.'
