Biography

William Reid was born at Ardersier, Inverness-shire on the 5th of February 1809 and baptised on the 9th of February, the sixth child of David Reid and Isobel Sutherland.[1]

He was a ploughman at Bishopmill, which is situated next to Elgin. 28 miles from Ardersier.

William married Helen Campbell in June 1833 at Alves, Morayshire, Scotland.[2]

  2. William b. Nov. 1837 at Alves
