Jack Lawrence Reid, 76, of Siletz, died March 19 of lung cancer at his home in Siletz. He was born September 30th, 1935 in Junction City, OR to Ross Walter Reid and Regena Gretchen Bennett Reid. He married Sharon Stam July 1, 1957 in Toledo, OR. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict and worked for International Paper 28 ½ years, retiring in 1997. He had also been a Commercial Fisherman. His family said "He was a member of the Lutheran Church, Church of Christ, a life member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the American Legion. He enjoyed Hunting and Fishing. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather."
