DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Anne by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Anne:

I can personally attest that this is the correct Nancy Reid via dna matches to all the children and to Capt. Nathaniel Reid himself, for example, I have dna matchs to Nathaniel Reid Jr. through his direct decendants and to his daughter Winniefried Reid Hood amongst others. I think perhaps you have the wrong marriage certificate, or you are confusing the sons. We have a marriage certificate for James Adams in Virginia so I assume that one is the correct one. With this DNA proof we have the right family. I will post a few of my autosomal DNA proofs in the images section showcasing those named Nathaniel Reid Jr & Winniefried, siblings of Anne and children of Cpt. Reid. The left side of the images are my mothers lineage and the right side would be my cousins side. Capt Nathaniel Reid is my 6th Great Grandfather and using my mothers DNA captures positive DNA matchs. I will also post my DNA match to Lucinda and my dna match to James W or C Reid, Nancy Reids Daughter & Son and I will post it to the Lucinda & James W. Reids profile in the images section. I do not want to overwhelm the section with DNA matchs so I provided only the necessary ones.

Reid-2566 and Reid-10928 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate. I did noot see her when I created mine.

Hey, there! My nana has done extensive research on our Adams' line, thought you might find her work helpful :) Please let me know if you're unable to use the link! https://ejaneybird.tribalpages.com/tribe/browse?userid=ejaneybird&view=0&pid=4287&ver=1402
Reid-2566 and Reid-6780 appear to represent the same person because: While I cannot address the different dates of death (although I believe it myself to be 1846 in SC), i KNOW that these two profiles complete one another - Ann Nancy was the daughter of Nathaniel Reid and Elizabeth Clayton and was the wife of my grandfather, James Adams, Sr. And the birth date & place both match.
Reid-4448 and Reid-2566 appear to represent the same person because: Part of a multi-generational cluster of duplicates.
