Andrew's daughter was named after his grandmother, on his mother's side, whose maiden name was Agnes Raeburn.
Andrew and his wife Emma Elizabeth immigrated from New Zealand sometime in 1877 when on the 8th of August they took on a free selection of 300 acres in the Parish of North Codrington, County of Rous in the Casino district of NSW.

Mr. Andrew Reid, proprietor of the Richmond
hotel, Sandiland Range, was drowned the other
day whlle crossing a creak on his way down to see
his wife, who has been under medical treatment
for some time in the Casino Hospital. Mr. Reid
resided for a number of years on the Tomki
Estate, and was married to a daughter
of Mr. Blore,- who resided for a number
of years in Grafton. The deceased leaves a large
family. Two of his daughters are married, and
his youngest child is not twelve months old.
