Biography
Josephine was born in March, 1868. Siblings who survived to adulthood: Malena (born 24 Aug 1856, aka Emilina, later Mrs. Charles Laporte), Louisa (born c1866, Emma (born c1870, later Mrs. Peter Malo), and Charles Renaud (1871-1945). Josephine married Emile Fontaine on 1 Jun 1896 in Plattsburgh NY. They had two children: George and Beatrice. Josephine died on January 8th, 1905 of pleuro-pneumonia at the age of 36. Her death was reported in the Plattsburgh Press on Monday January 9th, 1905.
Her 22-month old daughter Beatrice was adopted by her brother Charles Renaud and his first wife, Josephine Snow.
