Biography

N.B. I am changing Esther's place of death from Sinking Spring, Botetourt County, Virginia, to Roane County, Tennessee, so that it will be in line with her FAG entry. (Also, I can find no evidence of a Sinking Spring in Botetourt County. There is, however, a Sinking Creek in Botetourt County, just south of the border with Craig County, Virginia; it enters the James River near Gala. There was also a Sinking Spring in Washington County, Virginia.) If you know her actual place of death and have a valid source, please enter that information here and notify me and/or the profile manager. Thank you. (Patricia Prickett Hickin, 14 December 2019).

N.B. I am changing Esther's place of year of birth from 1739 to 1732 so that it will be in line with her FAG entry. If you know her actual date of birth and have a valid source, please enter that information here and notify me and/or the profile manager. Thank you. (Patricia Prickett Hickin, 14 December 2019).

N.B. I am not changing Esther's place of birth as Augusta County did not exist at the time of her birth. That area was Orange County in the 1730s. Instead I am notifying FAG of its error. (Patricia Prickett Hickin, 14 December 2019).
