Biography

She was born on 25 August 1768 at Groen Berg, Wagenmakersvallei, Cabo de Goede Hoop.[1] She was the daughter of Francois Retief and Margaretha Joubert.[2]

She was baptised on 11 September 1768 in the Dutch Reformed Church of Drakenstein in Paarl.[2]

On 8 May 1791 he married Margaretha Elisabeth Retief in the Dutch Reformed Church of Drakenstein, Paarl.[3]

She died on 19 April 1844 at the farm Verre Kyker in the district of Worcester at the age of 75 years 7 months and 25 days.[1]
