Her husband Cornelius passed away on November 23, 1853, in Jefferson, New York, at the age of 49. They had been married 22 years.
She and the children, lived in Gilboa, Schoharie, New York after Cornelius's death.[6]
At age 49, and widowed she and childen, Thomas-19 a farm laborer, Mary J-17, a School Teacher, Jane-11 and Margaret lived in Gilboa, Schoharie, New York, where she kept the home.[4]
She lived with her son Lorenzo and family in 1870, in Gilbio, Schoharie, New York.[7]
She had moved to Jefferson, Schoharie, New York by 1880, where she lived with her Daughter, Angeline, Husband and family.[8]
She died at age 70, on September 5, 1881, in Jefferson, Schoharie, New York, and was buried in the Welchs Corner Cemetery in 'Schoharie, New York.[1]
