Esther married Ford Barclay on 27 October 1824 at Croydon Quaker Meeting House, Surrey. The Quaker marriage record describes him as of London, son of Robert Barclay of Clapham Common, banker and Ann, both deceased; and her as daughter of William Fowler Reynolds of Carshalton House, Surrey, merchant, and Esther.[1][2] They had the following children:
Hugh Reynolds Barclay, born at Walthamstow, Essex on 3 June 1831,[7][8] died on 23 June 1833 and was buried on 30 June at Brighthelmstone (Brighton) Quaker burial ground, Sussex[9][10][11]
