Hi Philip

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Hi Phil, so sorry about that, had a very busy few days. I was just thinking about two hours ago that I intended to get back to you. The total number of profiles is on the login page - currently 8,166,240. That is only the number by profile ID I believe, not including the merged-away profiles which still exist behind the merged-into ones. However, I'm not 100% sure of that.

End of message:

However, if you actually have removed yourself from a profile you will find it by looking through your 'contributions'. This can be accessed from your profile page about halfway down on the left

Hi Phil - this is what I sent, it won't fit in one bulletin box:

Your watchlist is a list of all your profiles and can be sorted in various ways. You can access this in the 'My Wikitree' dropdown on the upper right of the screen.

This will show all profiles you are manager of or on the trusted list of.

'Orphaned' on wikitree usually means that you have removed yourself as manager of a profile via the privacy tab, thereby leaving the profile unmanaged. Orphan profiles are available for adoption by any Wikitree member. I suspect you mean that you have accidentally unlinked the profile from both parents? If so, it will show up in your watchlist.

Hi Philip, just had a similar notification from postmaster@pricom etc that my private message was possibly spam and I need to be put on a white list for the email to go through. I followed the instructions but then received an email that the 'reply' was deemed spam also. This might affect anyone who wishes to contact you so thought you should know.

Hi Philip, my email was blocked by your client who thinks it might be spam. I have sent a private message but just in case the same happens again with the PM I am posting here in the hopes you will see it.

Hi! I see where you have uploaded your DNA for comparison. Did you know we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening? If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.

Happy to help grow the tree as much as I can by discovering common ancestors with other members.
