Mary was born on January 16, 1835, in Kentucky. She was the daughter of William Rhodes and Harriett Rhodes.
She was christened as Mary Camilla Rhodes on March 8, 1835:
" Baptized Mary Camilla Rhodes, 3-08-1835, by Rev. Louis Nicholas Petit at St. Charles Catholic Church. Birth date, 1-16-1835. Sponsor, Helenda Rhodes. Parents, William & Harriet Rhodes."[1]
She married Dr. Nicholas Greene Leake on May 6, 1851.
She died on April 23, 1898, in Nelson County, Kentucky and is buried at St. Catherine's Catholic Church, in New Haven, Nelson County. A memorial page has been established on Find A Grave.

1850 - United States Federal Census - In 1850, Wm Rodes, 50, and a farmer, was living in District 1 of Marion County, Kentucky, with his wife E. H. Rodes, 48. Also living with them were their children E.A.J. Rodes, 18; M. C. M. Rodes, 16; H. B. D. Rodes, 12; William T. Rodes, 10; and Amilia Rodes, 8. The family was living next to Bennett Rodes and his wife.[2]
May 5, 1851 - Marriage - Married to Nicholas Greene Leake.
April 23, 1898 - Death - Nelson County, Kentucky.
