Adam was a Friend (Quaker)

Birth

30th day of 6th month 1660, (old style) Ripley, Derbyshire, England as reported at the Chesterfield Monthly Meeting of the Society of Friends [1]

Marriage

On the 4th day Ninth month (November) 1691 Adam Roads and Katherin Blunston registered their marriage intention at the Darby Monthly Meeting. [2]

Residencies and other events

In 1687 Adam Roades was one of those selected for jury duty in a Chester County court case involving one Thomas Colborne who was bound over by the last Court for "Selling ye Indians Rum...". [3]

In 1689 "'Adam Roades'" was again called for jury duty for the Chester County courts. [3] This case may have involved a debt issue.

On the twenty-fifth day of March 1696 John Bunstone, Attorney for John Roads acknowledged a deed to Adam Roads for one hundred acres of land lying in Darby [Chester County] the deed bearing the date 25 March 1696.[4]
