Biography

Sephronia was born in 1899. She was the daughter of Merritt Rhodes and Cassandra Smith. She was known in most records as "Onie".

Onie married Robert Earl Burch on April 224, 1917. [1]

She passed away October 24, 1993 in Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California. She is buried in All Souls Cemetery in Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California. A memorial has been established on Find A Grave.

1900 - United States Federal Census - In the 1900 federal census, John M. Rhoads, 50, is living in Bartlett, Ohio County, Kentucky, with his wife, Cassandra Rhoads, 41, and children, Hester, 20; Herbert, 18; Effie, 16; Dora, 14; Winnie, 10; and Onie, 1.[2]

1910 - United States Federal Census - In the 1910 federal census, John M. Rhoads, 60, is living in Magisterial District 6, Daviess County, Kentucky, with his wife, Cassie Rhoads, 53, and daughter, Ormie, 11. John is farming.[3]

1920 - United States Federal Census - In the 1920 census, Robert Burch, 25, is living in Whitesville, Daviess County, Kentucky, with his wife Syrfronia, 20, and their son, Oswell, 1 and 6 months. Robert is listed as farming.[4]

October 24, 1993 - Death - Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California.
