Ruby Rhodes Williams, 79, of Walnut Ridge, died Nov. 12, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Born at West Plains, Mo., she was the daughter of Jim and Maude Rhodes. She lived most of her life in the Walnut Ridge area and was a homemaker and a character member of the United free Will Babtist Church in Walnut Ridge. She was proceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jane Wheeless, three sisters, six brothers and two infant granddaughters. Survivors include her husband, Jack L. Williams; a son, James "Sonny" Williams, Walnut Ridge; four grandchildren, cindy Wheeless, Ronald Wheeless, Stacy McGinnis and Marsha Williams; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral was Saturday at 2 p.m. in the house-Gregg Chapel with Revs. Terry Forrest and O.D. Winfrey officiating. Burial was in Randolph Memorial Gardens at Pocahontas under the direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Dean Poole, Duane Jarrett, Herman Shaw, Bill Holder, Larry Cook, and Daivid Baltz. Honorary pallbearers were Alex Holder, Robert Poindexter, Ralph Jarrett, Howard Jarrett, Richard Rainwater, Clinton Holder and Earl Borah.
