DIED.
George Rhodes, father of Mr. J. T. Rhodes, of this district, died at his home at Rodamer’s, July 31, at 10 o’clock p. m., aged seventy-six years. The funeral services took place on the old home farm on Briery mountain August 2, condhcted [sic] by the Revs. S. A. Sisler and George Bucklew. The former preached the funeral sermon. Mr. Rhodes had been a member of the German Baptist church for forty-three years.
He is buried in the Rhodes Cemetery, near Terra Alta, Preston County, WV (no dates on tombstone).
