Biography

Nellie was born in 1886. He is the son of Thomas Rhodes and Ellen Crook. ^[1]

Nellie (b 16.12.1886, chr. 13.1.1887, at St. James, Accrington, abode, 11 Canning St., father planer.) Daughter of Ellen Crook(1852); she married Sagar Brown Stuttard[b 1.11.1884, Colne; baptism 23.11.1884 at Christchurch, Colne.] in 1910 at Burnley Registry Office. In 1939 they were at 18 Cliff Street, Colne; Sagar a loom overlooker and daughter, Gladys[b 6.6.1917, Colne, silk cloth weaver] was there, she married Fred Slinger at Holy Trinity, Colne in 1946 and they had sons born in Colne, Alan(1947) and Keith(1950). Ellen also had a daughter Bertha[1911-1911, Colne]. Ellen died in 1961 in Nelson.
