== Biography ==
James was baptised in Bromley in 1814. His parents were Robert Rhodes and Mary Eastwood.
He married Mahala Gotobed in 1835. The 1841 census shows him with his wife and the first of their children. James worked as a silk printer and the family lived in West Ham.
Their thirteen known children are:

James passed away in 1885.
