Biography

Permilia was born in 1841 to Samuel Thompson Rice and Mary Lucinda Alcorn. Permilia Rice married John Wesley Mitchell McCarty in 1857.[1] She lived most of her life in Missouri[2], but moved to Washington before 1900.[3] She died there in 1918 and is buried in Highland Cemetery, Douglas County, Washington. [4]
