Biography

Ella was a daughter of Charles R. Rice and Lucinda Gregory. She was raised in Albion, Calhoun, Michigan [1] and in Concord, Jackson, Michigan. [2] She married Charles D. Carter. [3]Their children were:

Nellie Carter 1878 - 1882
Katie Carter 1883 - 1889

In 1880, the family lived in Grand Rapids, Kent, Michigan. [4] They moved to Spring Arbor, Jackson, Michigan before 1900. [5] Ella died in 1935[6] and is buried in Spring Arbor Cemetery, Spring Arbor, Jackson County, Michigan. [7]
