Biography

Orlen was the son of William O. Rice and Melissa B. Robertson. His father died when he was a baby. He lived in his grandfather's house in Albion in 1880. [1]He married twice. His first wife was Mettie Knickerbocker. [2] Their children were:

1. Ervin Newton Rice 1897 - 1969
2. Ina Pearl Rice Davis 1901 - 1983

Orlie and Mettie lived in Litchfield, Michigan. [3] Mettie died in 1902 and Orlie married Bessie Stanhan in 1907[4]. They lived in Albion, Michigan [5] and then moved to Eckford, Michigan.[6] Orlie died in 1936[7] and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Homer, Calhoun County, Michigan. [8]
