On 16 Oct 1940, Buck lived in Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana with his parents. He worked for Allison Eng Co. He was 5'9" tall and weighed 165 pounds. He was light complected with blue eyes and brown hair.[1] He was the son of Ervin Newton Rice and Merca Angela Beeman.[2] He married Olive C Trinkle.[3] They had two children.
"Buck was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, MOMM3.[4] He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5003 and American Legion Post 259, both in Bronson and UCT in Coldwater and was given full military honors conferred by the Bronson Posts of the American Legion and VFW. Buck retired in 1981 as foreman after 30 years with Bronson Precision Products. Prior to that he had worked at the former Bronson Reel Company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.[5] Buck died in 2003[6] and is buried in Bronson Cemetery, Bronson, Branch, Michigan.[7]
