Biography
Harriet was the daughter of W. Rice and Augusta Berdine.[1] She lived with her parents in Scio, Allegany, New York. [2] She moved with her parents to Buffalo, Ogle, Illinois. [3] She married Ross Hannis in 1864.[4] They had 1 child together:

Ross died about 1868 Hattie married married Joshua Burnett. Their children were:
- George Walter Burnett 1869 - bef. 1880
- Augusta "Gussie" Martha Burnett McKee1874 -1965
- Nellie E. Burnett Ayres Ficks 1876 -1940
- Herbert Joshua Burnett 1878 - 1944
They lived in Pine Creek, Ogle, Illinois. [5] Joshua died in 1878. Harriet and the children moved in with her parents in Polo, Ogle County, Illinois. [6] She moved to Dixon, Lee, Illinois before 1900 to live with her son Herbert and his wife Ora. l[7] By 1910, Hattie lived alone in Ogle, Illinois. [8] She died in 1933[9] and is buried in Fairmount Cemetery, Polo, Ogle County, Illinois. [10]
