Mary Rice, daughter of John Rice and Agnes (Rolfe) Rice, was probably born about 1603. Her parentage is based on the fact that she is mentioned in the will of her grandmother, Alice Rolfe,^[1] and her baptismal record, which refers to her as the daughter to John Rice of Hamptworth.^[2]

Mary was baptized in Hamptworth on April 2, 1603.^[2] She was probably born in Hamptworth earlier that year.
