Biography

Ezekiel Rice (18 OCT 1777 - 18 SEP 1849[1]) was the son of Capt. Ezekiel Rice (15 OCT 1739 Wallingford, Connecticut - 3 SEP 1808 Meriden, Conn) and Lydia Hough (27 MAY 1740 Wallingford, Connecticut - 1813 CT).

He married Mary Merriam (13 SEP 1776 - 17 FEB 1816) in 1798.

Children include:

  1. Minerva Rice (1804–1866) married Salmon Todd Merriam
  2. Hezekiah Rice (1811–1882) married (1) Maria Harriet Bradley, (2) Fanny Thompson
  3. Erastus Rice ( –1866)
  4. Ezekiel Allen Rice ( –1882)
  5. Irene Rice (1813 - 1885) married Orrin Judd Dutton
