When Caleb Rice was born on September 2, 1755, in Brookfield, Massachusetts[1], his father, Benjamin, was 32 and his mother, Sarah, was 33. He married Sarah Abbot on January 4, 1775, in his hometown[2][3]. They had 12 children in 22 years. He moved to Sturbridge, then in 1806, moved to Pompey, New York. He died of a fever in November 4, 1809 in Pompey, New York[4], at the age of 54.
