Biography
Note: Ted Rice worked for many years as a tailor for Schneider's in Jefferson City, Missouri. He loved to fish and hunt. He carved many figurines and made many birdhouses. Ted, Maude and family lived at 624 Georgia St, Jefferson City, Missouri. Ted and Bonnie lived in Osage City, Missouri, next door to his son Floyd Rice. 2 1st Marriage: Theodore Roosevelt "Ted" Rice married Maude Marie Harlan in 1919. Maude was the daughter of George Hubert "Hootie"(1877 -1961) and Mary Jane "Mollie"( Rhodes)(1875-1968)Harlan. Marie Harlan Rice Gilmore (1901 - 1980) is buried Hawthorne Memorial Gardens Jefferson City, Missouri - Veterans Garden Lot 20A Space 2. 2 Ted and Maude Rice had 7 children: Mabel Louise Rice Bromley Still (1920 - 2009) Buried Cape Fair Cemetery,MO. Floyd William Rice (1920 -. Roy Lee Rice (1923 or 1924) lived 1-2 months. Ruth Marie Rice Wrona (1925 - 1975) Buried Floral Hills Cemetery, Kansas City, MO - Garden 51 Lot 268B Space 2. Betty Mae Rice Rohrbach Bowling (1927-2010) Buried Floral Hills Cemetery,Kansas City, MO - Garden 51 Lot 936B Space 2. Peggy Lou Rice Pauley (1936 - 1971) Buried New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Ashland, MO. 2 2nd marriage: Theodore Roosevelt Rice married 6 June 1945 in Olathe, Kansas to Bonnie Belle (Wever) Chamberlain (1899 -1987). Bonnie was the daughter of Elmer Folsom (1872 - 1952) and Minerva Minnie (Scott) Wever (1878 - 1938). No children.
Ted passed away in 1990.[1] Burial was in the Saint John's Lutheran Church Cemetery in Schubert, Cole County, Missouri.[2]
