Footnotes

  • The Weidman Family of Up-State New York. A 76 page document. Page 31 has "Lydia Hopkins born in March 1713 in Harwich MA to Samuel Hopkins and Lydia Rich. Samuel Hopkins was born in March 1682 in Eastham, Plymouth Colony, the son of Stephen Hopkins. Sam and Lydia were married 5Dec1702 in Eastham. Lydia Rich was born in 1688 in Eastham, Plymouth Colony." There is no mention of Lydia Rich being married to Nathaniel Hopkins or being the mother of Lydia (Hopkins) Bragdon.

Notes

N1. This is probably not the same person as Lydia Phelps, born 16 Jan 1687 in Andover MA. DNA evidence links daughter Lydia Bragdon to Edward Phelps. So either the two Lydia's are the same person, or daughter Lydia Hopkins Bragdon is the daughter of Lydia Phelps instead of Lydia Ruth.
