Sylvanus Rich was born on 04 September 1720 in Eastham, Barnstable County, (then) Province of Massachusetts Bay, the son of Richard and Anna Rich.[1][2]
He married Mary Lumbart on 18 September 1740 in Truro, Barnstable County.[3]
Sylvanus died in his 35th year on 03 July 1755 and was buried in the Old North Cemetery in Truro where his gravestone still stands.[4][5][6]
Their children were assigned guardians Zaccheus and Joseph Rich, their uncles, in 1759 after their parents' deaths.[5]
