DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:
Just a note about Thomas' estimated birth year - his brother Richard is named in his father's probate papers as the eldest son. The parents married before April 1671. We don't have any accurate dates of birth for the children, but the current estimate for brother Richard is about 1674. The father's profile suggests Thomas was born about 1679. Do you have any dates for marriage or children's births that might give us a better idea? Many thanks, Bobbie
