Elizabeth Richards was born about 1825 (based on her age at death)

Elizabeth married John Brooks. He died in 1880.

In 1889 her daughter Sarah Jane married Alexander Badman. The wedding took place at 'the residence of Elizabeth Brooks' Murray Park.

Elizabeth Brooks (widow of John Brooks) died on 24 December 1903, aged 78 years, in Brookside, near Magill, Norwood, South Australia. ^{[1] [2]} Her death was reported in the Evening Journal (Adelaide, SA : 1869 - 1912), Sat 26 Dec 1903, Page 1 ^[3]

BROOKS.—On the 24th December, suddenly, at son's residence, Finchley, Magill, Elizabeth, relict of the late John Brooks, aged 78.

She was buried at Payneham Cemetery, Payneham South, South Australia (plot: Site surrendered and headstone relocated to display area). ^[4]
