Biography

Charles W. Richardson was born in February. The 1900 indicates he was born in 1852 but the June 1855 census gave his age as 2 (1853). He was born in Belmont, Allegany County, NY. He was the son of James H. and Mary H. (Bartlett) Richardson. One family researcher gave his middle name as Willard [unsourced]. [1] [2]

In 1880, Charles was in Kansas City, Missouri. His wife was Alice, he had a 1-year-old daughter Effie, and his sister Harriet "Hattie" was with him. In 1885, he was in the Denver Colorado area. He listed three children: Josephine (b. 1879), Myrtle, and Mable. [3] [4]

He was in Denver, Colorado, when he received a divorce from Alice M. Richardson on April 4, 1892. [5]

In 1900, Charles was in Lyons, Boulder Colorado. He had three children in his household: Mable, James, and Effie Zueger. [6]

In 1910, Charles and his son James were in Dubois, Wyoming. On May 16, 1916, Charles received a homestead patent for land about 2 miles from Dubois. [7] [8]

The death date and burial place of Charles is unknown.
