Biography

Charlotte (Richardson) Walker
(12 May 1850 - 27 October 1926)[1]

Charlotte Richardson was born on 12 May 1850 in Hagerstown, Wayne County, Indiana, United States. Her father was Aaron Richardson(23) and her mother was Priscilla Hoover(23). Charlotte had two older sisters, Tracy and Mary[2], two younger sisters, Hannah and Prascilla and a younger brother, Levi.[3]

Soon after the end of the Civil War, Charlotte(17) was married to the boy next door[3], Henry S. Walker(20) on 15 March 1868 in Wayne County, Indiana, United States.[4] There is a note on the corner of the entry in the marriage registry to "Withhold from Pub." perhaps because of the ages of Henry and Charlotte. By August of 1870, Charlotte Walker(20) is living with her husband in Salamanca Township, Cherokee County, Kansas, United States with a new son John W. Walker(1).[5] By 1880, Henry and Charlotte had two more children, Joseph(6) and Minnie May(4).[6]
