Biography

Thomas Richardson, eldest son of Thomas Richardson and Mary Stimpson, was born in Billerica Dec 30, 1675.[1]

Thomas married Abigail Ruggles; born on 5 Jun 1675 in Roxbury,,Ma . She died on 4 Jun 1758 in Billerica,Middlesex,Ma.[2][3][4] [1]He was a farmer and lived in Billerica Mass.[1] His farm, given him by his father during his lifetime, consisted of 87 acres of upland on the southeast side of Shawshin River, 45 acres of meadow and upland on Lubber's Brooks, and 2 acres of meadow in Content Meadow.[1] He died before his father March 18, 1717-18, and the farm confirmed to Thomas's widow Abigail and children by agreement of the other heirs in an instrument recorded Midd. Probate Records, xvii. 126, 127, 128., and upon the widow Abigail's death in 1758, the property confirmed to the children.[1]

ix. Susanna, b. 1715; unmarried and living in 1756

x. Sarah, b. Aug 31, 1717; m. Francis Crosby, both living in 1756

In 1756, children Martha Hosley, Ruth Tarbell, Sarah Crosby, Susanna, Abigail Hill, widow, and Anna Bailey (all daughters) united in a written engagement to support their mother, widow Abigail Richardson. [Middlesex Probate Records][1]
