Biography

Stephen Richardson, the son of Deacon Stephen and Bridget Richardson, was born about 1707, probably in Woburn.[1][2]

On August 26, 1736, he married, in Woburn, Mary Sawyer, also of Woburn, daughter of Joshua and Mary (Carter) Sawyer. They had four children:[2][3]

  1. Bridget, born September 30, 1737; married Isaac Belknap.[2]
  2. Molly, born April 20, 1739; married, Oct. 6, 1765, Abel Belknap.[2]
  3. Sarah, born March 10, 1743; married Caleb Richardson.[2]
  4. Stephen, born September 4, 1744; married Martha Wyman.[2]

Stephen Richardson died in Woburn on March 6, 1787, "in the 81st year of his age." He was buried at the First Burial Ground in Woburn, where his gravestone reads:[2][4][5]
